The teams currently fifth and sixth in the league played out a high scoring draw which was dominated by a powerful Silverdale performance.

Electing to bat on a flat Heysham surface, Silverdale got off to a steady start against Heysham’s opening attack which oozed confidence following the previous weeks demolition of Burneside.

Heysham travelled to Arnside buoyant after last weeks 10 wicket win and once again the strength in depth proved too much against an Arnside team low in confidence.

Despite totally dominating the game, Heysham could only manage to draw and a share of the points against bottom placed Ibis on Saturday.

The Westgate juggernaut came to a grinding halt on Saturday as a full strength Heysham dominated a one sided game against the Champions.
Electing to field first, Heysham Captain Finney expected some help for his bowlers from a green and damp track and he was not disappointed. What he didn’t expect was such a lacklustre performance from the home team.

This was another encouraging performance from Heysham who dominated the days play after a delayed start. Heysham lost the toss and were put into bat on what was a difficult opening first hour after a week of bad weather. Heysham ground out a solid start despite last weeks century maker Whincup falling for 7. Dixon steadily compiled some runs but it was the middle order this week which proved to be the difference as Cupit batted superbly to score 60 and after Dixon fell for 31 the Heysham crowd were served with a feast of boundaries.

Still struggling to organise a friendly - waiting for an answer from Shireshead and have tried Silverdale/Trimpell and B-L-S but wanted to know what the players think? do people just want a really good outside net or an inter club game?
